PROGRESSIVE RESISTANCE
Example 1: During the deadlift, the force curve is ascending, which means that we are able to develop greater forces at the end of the movement. The classic deadlift exercise will make you work a lot at the beginning of the movement, then much less afterwards, while the elastic deadlift will offer a progressive resistance that will coincide with the increase of our muscular capacities.
Example 2: During the bar pull exercise, the force curve is downward, which means that we are able to develop greater forces at the beginning of the movement (arms bent). When performing unassisted pull-ups you will soon be limited because the force required to lift your weight when your arms are straight is very important. Assistance with an elastic band will help you get through this difficult phase more easily, and the muscle tension will be much more balanced throughout the movement, allowing you to use your muscles for longer and thus progress faster.
